  This is a fantastic place! I would have claimed that I "don't like Chinese food" if you'd have asked me in the 10 years before moving to El Cerrito. This Szechuan place changed my outlook! Delicious family style food, lots of flavor and texture, no sticky sweet dishes typically found in American"Chinese" food. I've had their spicy short ribs-- great, pretty spicy. Their veggie delight is light, simple. Onion pancakes are always good. The soups(wonton rulz!) are huge, and good. They have a gigantic menu. Most of the staff is friendly and attentive. The kimchi appetizer is awesome. The hot pot is great, and celery with pork belly is great. The only thing I didn't like here was the crab Rangoon, too chewy. Try this place.

  We just moved to the Bay Area and this was the first Chinese place I tried. I lived in China for a while, and I was really thrilled to open up the menu and find things I hadn't had since I was in Shandong. I don't know if this is the norm for the Bay Area or if I found something special. Anyway the food was pretty good, maybe a little on the oily side. They served us even though it was the middle of the afternoon and we were the only people there. Oh, and it was a ton of food for the price.
